So, it's official. I've left the land of cubicles to re-enter the frenzy of theatre life. Not just the regular theatre frenzy either. Oh no, not for me. I'm going back to open a new theatre and be the 1st Assistant manager of said theatre.

I'm a seasoned vet of theatre openings (this is my fourth) so I'm well aware of how stressful and time consuming this new endeavour of mine will be. In hopes of counteracting the stress I've decided to start this blog to write about all the good times (and not-so-good times) to come. In the interest of anonymity I won't name which company or theatre I actually work for. I'll simply call it The Theatre.

The main reason for this (besides not wanting random strangers knowing where I work) is because I'm a venter and there may-make that will definitely-come a time when I'm not feeling super loving towards the company I work for and need to share my frustration. I don't always mean things I say when I vent but in the interest of self-preservation (and keeping my job) it's best not reveal those things.

I've actually been with The Theatre for about 5 years off and on and for the past two I've been working part time at a different location. A year ago, I got a full time job working in an office (the land of cubicles) and I cut my theatre time down to one day a week. It was a good job that I mostly enjoyed but one of my former theatre managers made me an offer I couldn't refuse.

Tomorrow marks my last day at the other location and Monday I officially begin the quest to open the new building.

Let the fun begin!
